I'm now 23!
Fuck i'm old.
I celebrated my birthday for the first time since i came to the US.
it was not bad.
I'm also proud that i didn't take a drop of alcohol during the celebration.
fucking straight-edge.
heeheehee.
i had a birthday bbq with some friends on saturday.
oh i would like to thank Terrence for the present.
and Frances+Shirley for the cake.
(i told them not to give me anything but still they did)
that's very nice of you guys. thank you!
because a picture tells a thousand words and i'm lazy,
i'll let the pictures do most of the typing.
here goes:

here's me firing up the grill.
i got this chimney starter with everyone's money.
haha.
well it's just <$1 per person.
just think of it as a birthday present to me k? thanks.
i didn't take many pictures during the bbq.
since my hands were dirty and i didn't want to dirty the new camera Jackie gave (thanks hehe!).
the bbq was fun.
the amount of food were pretty much just right and that's great.
i hate to see huge amount of left-overs that no one wants to carry home.
after the bbq we didn't know what to do.
someone suggested to get a motel room and we can all get drunk.
didn't do that since 1) i had a bad experience doing that (group of 20 got chased out of the motel)
2) i didn't want to get a hangover the next day
3) because i have to wake up early go to the Aids Walk
so we ended up going karaoke instead.

here's me in the karaoke room getting ready to cut the cake.
didn't have any candles. who cares about them.
i also looked like a girl.
the night ended really early (around midnight).
very healthy.
which is nice.

i went for the Muse concert on tuesday at concourse.
it was fucking awesome.
just that venue was quite narrow and kinda sucky.
luckily jackie and i got close to the middle.
i don't know who were the supporting bands but they played well.
as soon as Muse got onstage people started pushing and i got stepped on multiple times and it was great.
jackie nearly lost her shoe so we had to get out of the pit through the thick layer of sweaty bodies.
we got to the side and it was much calmer there. oh well.
jackie was totally bored. not because she's not tall enough to see anything but because she hates the music.
she only "kinda liked" Stockholm Syndrome.
sorry for dragging you to a rock concert jackie!
i couldn't bring someone else but you because it's my birthday.
sounds kinda strange doesn't it?
it's not to either of our best interest but it has to be done. hmm i can't really phrase it properly.
nevermind.
for those who like Muse,
here's their setlist on tuesday (i got it online just now)!
Knights of Cydonia
Hysteria
Map of the Problematique
Supermassive Black Hole
Citizen Erased
Soldiers Poem
Starlight
Plug In Baby
Invincible
Butterflies and Hurricanes
Bliss
City of Delusion
Stockholm Syndrome
-------
Take A Bow
Time Is Running Out
New Born
